Ruilin Wang The power of the narrative Ruilin Wang, a young artist from Beijing, has drawn attention with his surrealistic animal creations. In his own words he is “a person who pursues dreams”. His sculptures are made of bronze and are based on ancient Chinese paintings and legends. The work appears very smooth and graceful, whereas at the same time the artists personal imagination is adding an almost mythical layer to his amazing creations.

Jinsheng Shi The simple beauty of the paint Modern artists focus more and more on the expression of the art, rather than on the tools that they use for creating their works, such as paint. Not so for Jingsheng Shi. He traces back the ancient ways to produce a painting and explores the philosophy how the art of painting evolved in time.

Kunxiong Huang Observing changes in the repeating structures The expansion of the cities is an important source of inspiration for Kunxiong. To his vision this continuous expansion is symbolic for the continuous expansion of human desires. His work mainly uses the rhythmically repetition of modern architecture as a carrier of his art. He is looking for the world behind the scenes; observing the changes in the seemingly endless repeating structures, pursuing a balance between the mechanics and the human soul through the strong images dominated by geometric patterns. This pursuit seems to be mandatory to determine the experience and value of people.

Peng Gu It happened by accident and was untimely Since he was a child Peng Gu has been fascinated with lines; the most basic elements in the world. He only uses lines in his art to fill the big canvasses. His art embodies one of the main bodies of zen principle; it uses the movement to bring attention to the inner sense of significance, concern or disquiet. His work in an abstract way is about sensing the inner issues which are held as bodily tones or senses within the body and mind.

Rencong Xiang Reach into the ineffable “ What is art? It is a synonym for life, suspended above life. And it must find a place to live and explain itself ” Rencong Xiang is inspired by the relations between art, life and quantum physics. Everyday concepts such as ‘existence’, ‘(un)certainty’ and ‘harmony’ have gotten a new meaning by the most recent discoveries in science. As Rencong views art a synonym of life he explores these concepts in his art in an effort to reach into the ineffable; something that cannot be written down or subjected to the hard restraints of science, but which with a strong concept can be transmitted to the audience visually.
