PHI House of Art Certainty is the enemy of change The Greek letter Phi as a symbol of the golden section, has been a symbol for mathematical beauty, purity and quality since many centuries. Mathematicians, artists and architects have studied the properties of the golden ratio since Euclid revealed it’s amazing qualities. The golden section appears in many patterns in nature, such as the spiral arrangement of leaves and in a way appears to be the key to connect the man-made world with the world of nature; the physical with the spiritual and transcendental. It is exactly that quality which we are seeking in the art and the artists that we represent. High quality art pieces that are pleasing for the eye and at the same time appeal to the mind and soul. To explore, to reflect, to ease or to activate, to wonder, to enrich life. This book presents work from eight young Asian artists, all of whom are amazingly talented. Coming from a rapidly changing world, they represent fresh and upcoming new ideas, as well as new interpretations of old ideas. Phi is not only aiming to bring this new Asian art movement to the attention of the Western public, but also actively supports young artists. This way Phi encourages the funding for new developments in the world of art, which traditionally is very closed to the unknown. We invite the reader to join us on our journey.
